Helping make Summit County efficient, safe, and balanced.

Why GOTV

Trump national policies and Utah State Legislature affect us locally. There are many things that local officials can do to mitigate undesirable policies.

More people did not vote in 2016, than voted for Trump.

The 2018 election is our next chance to fix the problems that both of these entities are imposing on the country and on Summit County.

If everyone votes, we can change these policies.

Medical Marijuana

medical marijauna prop 2

The Opioid crisis has greatly affected Utah, with the state ranked in the top 10 nationwide in opioid overdoses.

Medical cannabis has successfully treated many diseases for which opioids not only fail but cause addiction. The legislature has repeatedly failed to adequately address this issue.

Vote Yes on Prop 2.

Medicaid Expansion- Prop 3

Thousands of Summit County residents are in the economic gap where they are too poor for ACA subsidies and have too much income for the current version of Medicaid. Currently the County Health Department and Peoples Health clinic try to serve this segment of society. Full Medicaid expansion under the ACA will greatly help this segment of our community.

Vote Yes on Prop 3.

Redistricting- Prop 4

Summit County has been a target of gerrymandering by the state legislature. We are in 3 House districts and 2 State Senate districts, while the county has exactly the number of people for 1 State House District.

Vote Yes on Prop 4.

Renewable Energy & Carbon Footprint

Global Warming is the most important environmental issue facing humanity. The Trump administration has undermined the efforts being made by the rest of the World.

Fortunately, cities and counties can step in where our federal government is failing.

The County Council adopted 100% renewable electrical energy and 80% reduction in carbon footprint goals

I have been main council contact w/RMP, PC, and SLC on this project.

My opponent, to date has been silent on this issue, but his history with the Climate Denying party is not encouraging.
